Extra Funds OKd for Alcoholism Treatment

LONG BEACH — The Long Beach Chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism will receive an additional, one-time $30,000 allocation from the county for alcohol-related treatment services for women and their children.
This latest funding boost is in addition to an earlier county agreement under which the Long Beach agency receives $57,980 for treatment programs, Supervisor Deane Dana announced.
