Battered Women

In response to Dworkin’s column:
Women who decry sexual discrimination will frequently themselves discriminate when referring to battery; they refer to battery of women, as if it is exclusive. Children of both sexes are battered, and many of the boys by their mothers, who can be equally inventive as men in their hideous tortures.
We must be equally vigilant in the detection, arrest and punishment of all battery, the violence against girls and boys, women and men, and a start (justified by common sense) would be the restriction of violence displayed on television.
Television outlets are given privileges in transmitting, for which society has a right to demand salutary standards.
