IN BRIEF : Big 10 Investigates Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Big 10 Conference is conducting a preliminary investigation of the Michigan baseball program, school Athletic Director Bo Schembechler said.
Schembechler said Thursday that other Big 10 coaches apparently have complained about recruiting at Michigan, prompting the Big 10 to send an investigator to the school.
“But I do not have the results from that yet. I do not think they have talked to (Coach) Bud Middaugh,” he said.
Schembechler said the NCAA is not involved in the investigation.
