MOSUL, Iraq — Hailing its war victories against Iran, Iraq put domestically produced missiles on show Friday at a festival in this northern city.
The ground-to-ground missiles, with a range of 400 miles to 530 miles, are similar to those used to bombard Tehran before a U.N.-brokered cease-fire last August ended eight years of fighting.
In addition to the missiles, named Al Hussein and Al Abbas after the grandsons of the Prophet Mohammed, the Military Industries Ministry also displayed a tank said to have been manufactured completely in Iraq.
