For Some, the Oscar Show Was One Big Carr Crash

How long will Hollywood endure mediocrity? By putting the Academy Awards telecast under the control of the man who gave us the movie “Can’t Stop the Music,” Allan Carr, the academy deserves what it got--a glitzy, superficial show with dreadful live production numbers.
When will the academy realize that the Oscars celebrate film? We should see more film clips, such as the show’s wonderful dancing montage.
