The 15th Anniversary Celebration of the Construction Industries Alliance, held at the Irvine Hilton has raised more than $360,000 for City of Hope.
It was “the largest single contribution” from the Alliance, according to the group’s president, Gen. William Lyon (USAF-ret.), chairman and chief executive officer of the building company bearing his name.
“Over the past 15 years, the Alliance has generated more than $5 million in charitable contributions for the City of Hope,” he added.
More than 725 people attended the event, which recognized the 15 major construction-industry executives who have been honored for their support of the City of Hope Medical Center and its Beckman Research Institute since the Alliance was founded.
Among the honorees are John D. Lusk, Anthony A. Allen, Merrill Butler, Harriet A. Harris, Robert M. Holmes, Kenneth Leventhal, Joe Martin, Thomas H. Nielsen, Peter Ochs, James M. Peters, Randall E. Presley, Philip J. Reilly, Richard B. Smith and E.G. Warmington.
