OMAEZAKI, Japan — Races were canceled for the second straight day Sunday due to a lack of wind in the Wind Surfing World Cup Series.
On Friday, Bjoern Dunkerbeck of Spain, the 1988 men’s overall World Cup champion, won the men’s slalom and Nathalie Le Lievre of France, last year’s women’s champion, took the women’s race.
The Omaezaki meet, officially called “Sometime World Cup 89,” is the third of seven competitions in this year’s World Cup series.
