IN BRIEF : Samaranch Recovering From Ulcer

BARCELONA, Spain — International Olympic Committee President Juan Antonio Samaranch continued his recovery from a bleeding colon ulcer at the Quiron Clinic today and doctors there expected to release him Tuesday.
A clinic spokeswoman, who identified herself as a general supervisor, said the 68-year-old Samaranch was “doing very well and rested all last night.”
Samaranch, a Barcelona native and president of the IOC since 1980, was admitted to the clinic Thursday.
