Triad Systems Rejects Volt Takeover Offer

Triad Systems Corp., a Livermore, Calif., computer products maker, has rejected an offer by Volt Information Services Inc. of New York to acquire Triad for $17 a share.
Triad Chairman James R. Porter did, however, propose a confidentiality agreement under which Triad would provide internal financial data and allow Volt to amend its offer, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
