Douglas A. McGregor was elected president and chief operating officer of M. A. Hanna Co., a Cleveland-based conglomerate dealing in polymers, minerals and metals and energy. James E. Courtney was elected to the new position of vice chairman. Both had been executive vice presidents of the company, and Courtney has been a director of Hanna since 1981.
