Cinco de Mayo Festivities Planned

The Ventura County Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a two-day celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the commemoration of the defeat of Napoleon III’s forces in Mexico, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Plaza Park at 5th and B streets in Oxnard.
The fiesta will feature a carnival, magician, food, arts and crafts, and entertainment. There is no charge for admission.
