What’s In a Name?

Webster tells us that the word “skew” means to take an oblique course--to distort the true value . . .
There is a group of people (Operation Rescue) who add one syllable too many to their self-named organization. Hereinafter I shall drop the “re” and call them “Operation Skew.”
We can do all kinds of things with words . . . one of the definitions of “rescue” is . . . “to set free from confinement” . . . that’s what I would prefer for all women who so choose.
