Synbiotics Corp. in San Diego said A.M. (Don) MacKinnon has joined the board of directors of the biotechnology company. MacKinnon is the retired president and chief operating officer of Ciba-Geigy Corp., a developer and manufacturer of agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, plastics and specialty chemicals.
