Four people in a stolen car led police on a half-hour chase through the county early Monday before driving into a pasture and getting stuck in a creek in Los Angeles County, Huntington Beach police said.
Three adults and one juvenile jumped from the disabled car and tried to run from police but were caught, Lt. Bill Mamelli said.
Arrested on suspicion of auto theft were Ramon Aguilira, 18, of Tustin; Yolanda De La Cruz, 27, of Stanton, and Paul W. Martinez, 18, of Buena Park, Mamelli said. They were being held in Huntington Beach Jail on $10,000 bail each.
A 15-year-old Garden Grove girl was also arrested and taken to Juvenile Hall.
The chase began about 3 a.m. Monday when officers tried to stop the stolen Mazda 626 at McFadden Avenue and Golden West Street in Huntington Beach. The car sped off with a police cruiser in pursuit.
