Climber Seriously Hurt in 600-Foot Ice Plunge

SISTERS, Ore. — A climber who plunged 600 feet down a glacier on North Sister mountain was in serious condition Monday in a hospital in Bend.
Gerald Seeley, 34, was suffering from hypothermia and head and neck injuries when he was brought to St. Charles Medical Center. A companion was able to hike out and summon help.
