NEW YORK — A federal bankruptcy judge today gave Eastern Airlines another day to consider rival buyout offers for its lucrative Washington-New York-Boston shuttle business.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Burton R. Lifland adjourned until Tuesday a hearing at which attorneys for Miami-based Eastern, its unions and its major creditors are to meet to discuss competing offers for the shuttle by America West Airlines and developer Donald Trump.
