A father drove his 10-year-old daughter to a rural area and shot her to death before apparently taking his own life, Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies reported. The body of a man tentatively identified as Stephen Cobb, 43, was found with a suicide note Saturday in Buckeye Creek, about six miles southeast of Rancho Murieta, deputies said. The body was several feet from a shallow spot where a girl identified as Cobb’s daughter Robin had been found dead Friday.
