WORLD : U.S. Extends Warning on China Trips

WASHINGTON — The State Department today extended its warning to Americans against traveling to China due to the turmoil there.
“The (warning) for China advises American citizens to defer travel there until further notice,” department spokesman Richard Boucher said at a news briefing. “The unsettled conditions that have been going on for days . . . are continuing.” Earlier, Washington had issued advisories against travel to China from May 20 to May 26.
