Not counting Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan, the five best players among the Lakers and Bulls are: James Worthy, Byron Scott, A.C. Green, Mychal Thompson or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and maybe Scottie Pippen.
If the criteria for MVP is “how well a player makes his teammates play,” how can Magic be more valuable if the Lakers are so much better in the first place?
