Servite High School running back Derek Brown, who established a county single-season rushing record last fall, has been added to the North squad for the 30th Orange County All-Star football game scheduled for June 30 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.
Brown was originally selected to play in the charity game in April but declined the invitation and was replaced by teammate Chris Johnson. Brown told game officials last Thursday that he had changed his mind and wanted to play.
Game officials agreed to add Brown to the North’s 36-man roster, and in return, the South added University running back Jim Roberson.
