Regarding Terry Atkinson’s June 19 review of KCET’s “Take Five”:
For Atkinson to state that “. . . I find MOCA an aggravating, depressing home for no-point, no-fun modern art” is an admission of the reporter’s lack of understanding of just what MOCA is all about and what modern and contemporary art is all about.
The review injects a snide opinion of MOCA that is unnecessary and unfair. About 25,000 members have joined MOCA, the second largest contemporary museum membership in the country.
I suggest Atkinson take the time for some art education and take advantage of the daily free talks held in MOCA’s auditorium.
