First Round--Defeated Bill Scanlon of Dallas, 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.

Second Round--Moved into the third round at Wimbledon for the first time, defeating Ronald Agenor of Haiti, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 7-5. Growing more accustomed to grass courts, Chang came to the net more than in his first-round match and frequently passed Agenor when the Haitian came to the net.
