San Clemente’s Oxley Wins Speedway Feature

Brad Oxley of San Clemente won the eight-lap handicap in front of 6,657 spectators in the weekly speedway program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
Steve Lucero of Riverside finished second, with Gary Hicks of Glen Avon third, Josh Larsen of Costa Mesa fourth and Craig Welkie of New Zealand fifth.
Billy Hamill of Monrovia won the four-lap scratch main event with Alan Christian of Murietta second.
