Robert Furtado has been named to the newly created position of vice president of operations for Ingram Micro D. He had been director of operations for Micro D Inc. since July, 1987. Micro D merged earlier this year with Ingram Industries Inc. to form Ingram Micro D. Ingram Micro D, with headquarters in Santa Ana, is a wholesale distributor of microcomputer products.
