Pacific Palisades : Parking Plan Defeated
- Share via
The Pacific Palisades Community Council voted down a preferential parking proposal for the village shopping area recently, saying it favors two-hour parking limits on business streets.
Council members, who voted 9 to 0 to reject the proposal, said that although parking remains a problem in the Palisades business district, imposing preferential parking would hurt customers more than help them. The community has been grappling with the parking issue for more than a year.
Los Angeles city Councilman Marvin Braude had asked civic leaders to poll the community before presenting the proposal to the City Council for final approval.
