A 52-year-old Santa Ana man was seriously wounded when an unidentified suspect slit his throat at Maybury Park, authorities said Thursday.
Redino Noda, 52, told police that he was walking through the park in the 100 block of Fruit Street about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, when a man he was walking with slashed him across the throat, Santa Ana Police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas said.
Noda was taken to United Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was reported in stable condition Thursday.
“We don’t know what the weapon was at this point,” Thomas said. “We don’t have the other man’s name. We have no motive and we don’t know the relationship this suspect had to the victim.”
She said an investigation was continuing.
