Boy, 7, in Good Condition After Falling Into Pool

A 7-year-old boy who was discovered unconscious on the bottom of a swimming pool was in good condition Saturday at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, a spokeswoman said.
Abdullahim Muhammed, who is from Nigeria, was last seen by his parents Ibrahim and Amina about 2:30 p.m. Friday at their home in the 11600 block of Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood, Los Angeles police said. He was discovered at the bottom of a nearby apartment house pool by registered nurse John Silkey just before 3:30 p.m.
Silkey resuscitated the boy and called paramedics.
The boy’s parents did not report their son missing until 9:30 p.m., after their own search was unsuccessful.
