Commercial Scene : Retail Center to Rise Near San Diego State

Construction is expected to begin later this month on College Square, a 15,300-square-foot retail center adjacent to San Diego State University.
The $2.8-million project, at the southeast corner of College Avenue and Lindo Paseo, is the first new retail development to be launched in the area in several years. It is expected to have food outlets, clothing stores, a hair salon and several other service-oriented tenants when completed by the end of this year.
The project is being developed by the brother-and-sister team of Samantha and Adam Mills. Exclusive leasing agent is San Diego-based Suncoast Commercial Real Estate.
