The body of a woman was found Monday morning in Spring Valley, authorities reported.
Two area residents found the body, which has not been identified, at the bottom of an embankment in the 9400 block of Edgewood Drive, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
A spokesman for the San Diego County coroner’s office said an autopsy had been performed, but he would not release any more information.
The cause of death has not been determined, but the Metropolitan Homicide Task Force is monitoring the investigation.
