Hart Lee Dykes, New England Patriots’ first-round draft choice, will have a baseball tryout with the Gulf Coast League White Sox, a rookie league team, in Sarasota, Fla.

Dykes, who hasn’t pitched organized baseball in two years, may sign with the Chicago organization while his agent and the Patriots try to reach a contract agreement. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound wide receiver starts his baseball tryout six days before the Patriots’ training camp starts next Tuesday.
