Brown Throws 4-Hitter as Valley ET Wins

Right-hander Josh Brown, who will be a junior at Birmingham High in the fall, threw a four-hitter Thursday as Valley Encino-Tarzana defeated Burbank, 6-3, in an Eastern Division District 20 American Legion game at Birmingham.

Brown was supported by designated-hitter David Grisar, who was two for four with a run batted in. Mike Belasco was two for three.

Woodland Hills East 7, San Fernando 2--Rich Cosentino belted a fifth-inning home run to highlight a 13-hit attack, and Rich Shapiro (1-2) pitched a five-hitter at Taft High as Woodland Hills East moved to within a win of clinching a playoff berth.
