Citizens Group to Meet on Controlled Growth

STOP (Stop Those Old Politicians), a citizens group formed by Rancho Palos Verdes resident Joel Justin King, will hold a public meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Center Library, 650 Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates.
King said the group advocates city ordinances in Rancho Palos Verdes that would limit development, limit City Council terms to two years--a matter that the California Court of Appeal recently ruled is preempted by state law--and lower rates for cable television on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
