Controversy Over Supreme Court’s Abortion Decision

In the 1960s, I refused to attend an anti-Vietnam War demonstration that included flag-burning. Just because I didn’t wave the flag didn’t mean I would burn it. After all, the flag symbolized a nation that valued the freedom and liberty to dissent.
Today, the flag symbolizes a nation that allows only white men to seek redress for discrimination, and denies women the right to the freedom and control of their own bodies.
Today, the flag symbolizes a nation in which there is no liberty and justice for me. And today, I would burn the flag.
