A kidney ailment kept Bo Diddley from headlining as scheduled Saturday night at the Orange County Fair. Fair officials learned one day in advance that the rock Hall-of-Famer was hospitalized and would not be able to perform, a spokeswoman for the fair said Monday. A group led by Bowzer, a member of the rock oldies band Sha Na Na, played in Diddley’s place Saturday night on a bill with the Tokens and the Penguins.
