HCC Industries in Encino said Michael Pelta, vice chairman of HCC and president of its Hermetic Seal Corp. unit, has died at age 66. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Pelta was one of the three founders of HCC, which makes hermetic, or airtight, electronic components for military and industrial uses. He had been with the company since 1952. He also owned 16% of HCC’s stock.
Andrew Goldfarb, HCC’s president and chief executive, has temporarily assumed Pelta’s duties.
