4 County Players Win in Tennis

Four Orange County residents advanced to the fourth round of the United States Tennis Assn. National Men’s 45 Hardcourt Championships at Lindborg Raquet Club in Huntington Beach Wednesday.

Lenny Lindborg of Laguna Niguel defeated Gordon Davis of Encino, 7-6, 1-6, 7-6; Billy Higgins of Yorba Linda defeated Jack Metalsky of Manhattan Beach, 7-6, 6-3; Bob Duesler of Newport Beach defeated Ken Robinson of San Carlos, 7-5, 6-3, and Herman Ahlers of Dana Point defeated George Fareed of Los Angeles, 6-3, 6-4.

The single-elimination tournament continues through Sunday.
