Preps to Clash in All-Star Grid Contest

The 13th annual Los Angeles Prep Senior Bowl All-Star Football Classic will be played Saturday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Monica College Corsair Stadium.
Players from 40 Los Angeles area high schools will participate in the game,with the dividing line the Pasadena and Harbor Freeways.
The game is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Santa Monica. Proceeds benefit the Optimist Boys Home in Northeast Los Angeles and community sports and recreation programs.
Brad Ratcliff of University High is offensive head coach for South-West all-stars whose 38 man roster includes players from Hamilton, University, Venice, Westchester, Fairfax, Santa Monica, St. Monica, Daniel Murphy, Loyola , Culver City and St. Bernard.
Among the top South-West mainstays are J. J. Johnson, Beverly Hills quarterback; Jerry Black, linebacker, John Zeigler, tackle, Steve Blinn, tight end and A. Dee Williams, defensive back, all from Santa Monica; Brian Townsley, wide receiver and Rynaldo Woodard, linebacker from University; Mike Wagner, running back and Mike Dunford, tight end, both of St. Monica; and Larry Avery, wide receiver and Vicent Bonner, defensive back, both of Westchester.
Tickets are $7 for adults 18 and over; $5 for high school students with identification and $3 for children under 12.
