Mired in a government investigation of its Micronics subsidiary, Precision Aerotech reported a loss of $1.2 million on fourth-quarter sales of $17.7 million, contrasted with a profit of $147,000 on sales of $11.9 million for the same three months last year.
Precision Aerotech said work slowdowns caused by “extensive government audits” of Micronics contributed to the loss. Precision Aerotech makes a variety of aerospace and weapons components.
For the year ended April 30, Precision Aerotech reported a loss of $4.4 million on sales of $62.1 million, contrasted with a profit of $680,000 on sales of $38.7 million in fiscal 1988.
