Commercial Scene : Business Center Being Built on 14-Acre Site

University Business Center, a $20-million retail and industrial complex, is being constructed on a 14-acre site in the East San Gabriel Valley bounded by Valley Boulevard on the west, Temple Avenue to the south and Pomona Boulevard on the east.
Cordova Chase Co., headquartered in City of Industry, is the developer and the Irvine-based Breton Construction Co. is the general contractor.
The site will contain two projects, the 204,000-square-foot University Business Center and the University Plaza, a four-building commercial complex fronting on Temple Avenue. A new public street, University Parkway, also is being built as part of Cordova Chase Co.’s development.
