Magma Power: The San Diego-based company that owns geothermal energy leaseholds reported a second-quarter profit of $4 million on revenue of $14.1 million, up from a profit of $2.4 million on revenue of $6.1 million for the same three months last year.

For the six months ended June 30, Magma’s profit stood at $7.4 million on revenue of $27.4 million, compared to a profit of $4.4 million on revenue of $13 million for the same two quarters last year.
