Armor All Products Corp., an Irvine-based supplier of car-care products, reported that net income for the quarter ended June 30 declined 13%, to $5.6 million from $6.4 million for the like period in 1988. Revenue for the first fiscal quarter rose 3%, to $35.4 million from $34.4 million. Jeffrey M. Sherman, president and chief executive, said the year-ago quarter had been especially strong. In addition, expenses associated with the acquisition of the Rain Dance, Rally and No. 7 car-care products from Borden Inc. last September contributed to the decline in net income.
