Sierracin Corp. said it agreed to sell its Transflex division to Elmwood Sensors for $6 million. Sylmar-based Sierracin, which makes high-tech products for the aerospace and manufacturing industries, said it expects to record a gain on the sale. The company said the size of the gain has yet to be determined but will be reported in results for the third quarter, which ends Sept. 30.
Transflex makes thermal heaters and other industrial products. Elmwood Sensors is a unit of FASCO Industries, the U.S. subsidiary of London-based Hawker Siddeley.
