A man suspected of killing his 14-year-old girlfriend pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
Eddie Hollingsworth III, 24, of Southeast San Diego is accused of killing Shawana Thomas and leaving her body in a trash bin, where it was discovered Friday.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Genaro Ramirez disclosed in court that the victim had been shot in the head three times. San Diego Municipal Judge Frank Brown set bail at $750,000.
A preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 8.
