For Some, ‘Parenthood’ Is No Laughing Matter

I was appalled at the violence and nonstop profanity of “Lethal Weapon II,” but because I had read Calendar’s Parental Guide, I knew what to expect. I was not prepared for “Parenthood.” Rather than a family comedy, I got one raunchy movie!

I can only wonder at the reviewer for the Aug. 6 Parental Guide who gave it a “Family” rating and commented: “Adult themes but good for teens.” This movie was lewd, rude and crude and definitely not for children of any age.
