The district attorney’s office has filed murder charges in the stabbing death of a man whose body was discovered Aug. 1 in front of a Pacoima elementary school, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Darrell Mooris Jr., who was being held in the Los Angeles County Jail, was charged Thursday with the murder of a man police said was about 30 years old.
The identity of the victim, who police Sgt. Ivan Minsal said had been stabbed several times in the upper body, has not been released.
The victim’s body was found by a passer-by shortly after 6 a.m. in the 13300 block of Vaughn Street, police said.
No motive for the stabbing has been determined, Minsal said.
