Clues Sought in Gunshot Victim’s Death

Santa Ana authorities Saturday were trying to identify a man found staggering in a street with fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim was spotted by a security guard near 1608 E. McFadden Ave. about 9:40 p.m. Friday.
Paramedics found the man in the 1000 block of South Lyon Street, where he had collapsed. He was taken to United Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he died.
The victim, who was not carrying identification, had been shot three times in the chest. Police had no suspect or motive for the shooting.
