Turning the TV dial in search of fresh prime-time fare?
Try tuning in “FM,” a new NBC sitcom starring Robert Hays as the program director and disc jockey at a listener-supported radio station in Washington. The half-hour MTM Enterprises series takes the airwaves for a five-week tryout starting Thursday at 9:30 p.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39 before moving to its regular Wednesday night time slot at 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 23.
Created by Emmy winner Allan Burns (“The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Lou Grant”) and Dan Wilcox, the cast of “FM” includes Patricia Richardson, Leo Geter and DeLane Mathews, co-stars of the defunct CBS comedy, “Eisenhower and Lutz.”
