It was pleasant to see “When We Were Young.” As an extra in the movie, I played the role of a weeping grandmother at a graveside scene. So much time was spent on that shot--our wardrobe, our hair and makeup--that it truly surprised even cynical me to see none of it in the show. My only rationale for all this carrying on is that it gets the main characters motivated. Nes pas? That’s show biz. . . .
