A 28-year-old Fullerton woman was critically injured Tuesday after apparently jumping 30 feet from an overpass onto the Orange Freeway in Fullerton, police said.
The woman, Claudia Denise Todd, broke both of her legs and ankles and injured her spine and damaged internal organs in the fall at 3:10 p.m. She was taken for treatment to UCI Medical Center.
Oncoming traffic avoided Todd, who fell into the southbound lanes from the Yorba Linda Boulevard overpass. There was no evidence of foul play, according to Sgt. Steve Matson.
