Ex-Rep. Hance Enters Texas Governor Race

AUSTIN, Tex. — Ex-Rep. Kent Hance, a former Democrat who defeated one of President Bush’s sons in a race for Congress in 1978, entered the GOP gubernatorial nomination Tuesday.
Hance cited his experience as a state senator, congressman and railroad commissioner.
